Overview

The Employee Growth & Development Specialist utilizes knowledge of adult learning theory, curriculum development, learning technologies and tools, process development and improvement, as well as program effectiveness and metrics tracking, to create and lead successful learning and development initiatives that support employee growth and development across the entire organization.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Human Resources and organizational leaders to define and design scalable, employee growth training, including the scope, objectives, and learning lifecycle for employee growth and development
  • Curates and customizes learning courses and programs to meet both the tactical and strategic objectives of the organization and intended employee groups
  • Develops, evaluates, and continuously improves training programs to keep current with current technology, development approaches, new learning modalities, and training audience needs
  • Effectively communicates learning leading practices for internal training programs that support learning outcomes across the organization
  • Monitors the effectiveness of learning initiatives and proactively recommends improvements
  • Develops and provides metrics to leadership on learning strategy and outcomes
  • Facilitate core-skills development and leadership training
  • Keep a working knowledge of symplr products to curate product training into employee growth learning paths, as applicable
  • Continuously grows product, functional, and industry knowledge through training, research, and collaboration
  • Adopts and develops department operational standards and procedures to maximize team efficiencies
  • Other duties as assigned

Skills Required

  • Bachelor’s Degree required
  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in creating and administering training programs and instructional design (ID) methodologies required
  • Experience utilizing adult learning theory and application in learning program development
  • Experience in setting goals, objectives, and metrics around learning programs
  • Ability to analyze key metrics that indicate a learning initiative’s success and provide concise and meaningful reports to Leadership and Executive teams
  • Strong training facilitation, written communication, and verbal skills
  • Experience in creating leadership development programs
  • Proficiency using Microsoft Office applications required; proficiency in curriculum development programs and technical acumen strongly preferred
