Overview

The HR Operations Analyst is responsible for supporting the day-to-day execution, optimization, and analysis of HR operational processes across the employee lifecycle. This role ensures accurate, timely, and compliant delivery of HR services, serving as a key point of coordination for employee transactions and HR systems. This role plays a critical part in maintaining data integrity, supporting service delivery standards, and enabling a positive employee experience through consistent and efficient operations. The HR Operations Analyst leverages data, automation, and process documentation to identify improvement opportunities, reduce manual effort, and scale HR operations. With a strong focus on service metrics, controls, and continuous improvement, this role helps ensure HR operations are reliable, auditable, and aligned with business needs and regulatory requirements.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Lead daily HR service delivery for employee lifecycle processes (hire, onboarding, changes, transfers, offboarding).
  • Own the HR ticketing queue: triage, escalations, SLA compliance, and continuous improvement.
  • Establish, manage, and report on Service Level Agreements (SLAs), response standards, and turnaround expectations.
  • Manage employment verification processes and post-employment support.
  • Optimize Rippling workflows, automate processes, and maintain data accuracy.
  • Support cross functional workflows between HRIS, Payroll, and IT.
  • Run routine and quarterly data audits, including duplicate checks, exception handling, compliance testing, and control evidence for security audits (where applicable).
  • Oversee I-9 administration and document reviews, drive compliance controls.
  • Help build and maintain HR SOPs, process maps, and knowledge articles.
  • Standardize templates and guides to support consistent execution.
  • Coordinate and align with the India support team to operationalize “follow the sun” service delivery.
  • Build and distribute recurring HR dashboards (e.g., headcount, turnover, compliance reporting).
  • Analyze service metrics, ticket data, and root causes to identify improvement opportunities.
  • Create and manage surveys, reporting, and distribution of results.
  • Manage Contractor Management System.
  • Develop operational enhancements that reduce manual effort, increase accuracy, and strengthen the employee experience.
  • Collaborate with Payroll and IT to ensure synchronized processes, aligned change controls, and technology optimization.
  • Support annual and periodic cycles such as performance reviews, goal setting, and compensation changes.
  • Drive readiness and compliance for multi-state U.S. employment regulations and global policy alignment.

Skills Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • 2–4 years of experience in HR operations, HR shared services, or an HR analyst role.
  • Hands-on experience with HRIS platforms (Rippling or similar systems preferred).
  • Strong understanding of HR operational processes across the employee lifecycle.
  • Experience working with HR ticketing systems and service delivery models.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and recommend improvements.
  • High attention to detail and strong data accuracy and audit discipline.
  • Working knowledge of U.S. employment regulations, including I-9 compliance.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and reporting tools.

 

Desired Skills and Qualifications:

  • Experience supporting global or multi-state HR operations.
  • Experience partnering cross-functionally.
  • Familiarity with SLA management, service metrics, and continuous improvement frameworks.
  • Experience building dashboards or reports using HR data.
  • Experience supporting audits, compliance reviews, or SOX-related controls.
  • Process documentation, SOP development, and change management experience.
  • HR certification (PHR, SHRM-CP) a plus.
